2023 Subaru Ascent Interior & Exterior
The Ascent has standard LED headlights and seating for eight inside the cabin. A tri-zone climate control system keeps each row at the set temperature. If you upgrade to the Premium trim, you get a 5,000-lb max towing capacity and can opt for second-row captain’s chairs. The Premium trim driver’s seat is power-adjustable, and the front seats have heating, plus its seven-seat configuration has a power liftgate. The Onyx Edition is unique in that it comes with bigger alloy wheels done in a black finish, LED foglights, a black grille and exterior trim, and simulated leather upholstery. You get a heated steering wheel on the Limited trim, and the Touring trim has ventilated front seats.
2023 Ascent Engine & Performance
The Ascent is powered by a turbocharged 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder engine that generates 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. It is complemented with a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. There are 8.7 inches of ground clearance to help with moderate off-roading duties, and the turbo engine packs a solid punch on any roadway.
2023 Subaru Ascent Technology & Safety
Standard tech on the Base trim consists of a 6.5-inch infotainment screen, smartphone app integration, and a six-speaker sound system. The Premium upgrades to an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, while the line-topping Touring trim comes with a premium 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and integrated navigation.
Subaru EyeSight is the bundle of driver aids offered on each vehicle. You get a lane-keeping system and adaptive cruise control as standard features. A blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is added to the Premium, and the seven-seat configuration of the Premium gets automatic rear braking. A 180-degree forward parking camera comes on the Touring for better visuals around the vehicle.
